Also known as Lavender Tea Tree, Rosalina is one of the most fragrant of the Melaleuca oils and embodies a pleasant camphoraceous/floral aroma with rosy backnotes.
- Place of origin
- Southern New South Wales/Northern Victoria (Australia)
- Production method
- Steam distilled from the leaves and terminal branches of
selected chemotypes of Melaleuca ericifolia.
- Main components
- Linalool, cineole, more than 100 minor components.
- Aroma
- Just think of rose with a woody, "bushy" background.
- Main uses
- Aromatherapy, for calming and centring. An oil to relax by. Cosmetics, perfumery.
- Comments
- In cosmetics and perfumery, Rosalina can be successfully used as a replacement for other "rosy" scents (and why not for the real, extra-expensive rose itself!).
- Safety notes
- Safe in terms of toxicity, skin irritancy.

- Blending suggestions
- Blends well with other Australian EO's . Some suggested blends you might like to try include:
- 1 part rosalina, 2 parts rose geranium, 1 part may chang (Litsea Cubeba)

- 4 parts rosalina, 2 parts lavender, 1 part blue cypress
- 1 part rosalina, 1 part nerolina, 1 part lemon-myrtle
- 3 parts rosalina, 1 part lemon tea-tree, 1 part blue cypress
- 1 part rosalina, 1 part tea tree, 1 part peppermint gum
