AquaSapone, premium grade essential oils from Australia for aromatherapy and cosmetics
AquaSapone Australia Special requirements for domestic and international shipment of essential oils classified as DG (HazMat)
Some of the most common essential oils are classified as Dangerous (Flammable) Goods. In the United States of America, Dangerous Goods are referred to as HazMat (Hazardous Materials). Some examples of DG (HazMat) essential oils are:
- Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata, Eucalyptus globulus, Eucalyptus bracteata, some types of Eucalyptus dives and basically all Eucalyptus oils that are not lemon scented)
- Kunzea, Tick bush (Kunzea ambigua)
- Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis and all types of Rosmarinus)
- Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia)
- Bergamot (Citrus bergamia), Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi), Lemon (Citrus limonum), Mandarin (Citrus nobilis, Citrus reticulata), Orange (Citrus aurantium amara, Citrus sinensis) and all Citrus essential oils expressed or distilled from the rind of the fruit
- White cypress (Callitris columellaris)
Australia Post regulations forbid the shipping of any Dangerous Goods products to both Australian and overseas destinations. This applies to all and any kind of parcels handled by Australia Post that contain any amount, no matter how small, of DG essential oils.
If you are outside Australia and are ordering, or would like to order, any essential oils that fall into this category, you might want to keep in mind that the special documentation and handling procedures, required by the national and international regulations set down under the recommendations from the United Nations Committee of Experts, add several hundred dollars to the shipping costs, regardless of the volume of the shipment.
Needless to say these days, the Dangerous Goods (HazMat) regulations are taken very, very seriously.
Australian essential oils, soap making supplies, natural soap base, skin care ingredients and bases
are distributed in the US by Anne Lee's.
